- Green peas
- Tomato paste
- Olive Oil
- Salt, garlic, chibundiro hot chillies
How to cook Carribean rice and green peas
In a medium heated pan, add olive oil, minced garlic, and let it fry until golden brown.
Pour the peas into the pan, add salt, chibundiro hot chillies and let it toast for 5 minutes until cook through.
Add tomato paste and stir to combine.
Add water and bring to a boil.
Put the rice into the pan and combine. Cover with a lid and let it cook al dente for 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve warm with any sauce you like. Enjoy
